It pains me to say this to
you, Street Doctor, but thank you for the articles you posted in this
Weekend's Edition on the Older Woman. Although the pictures posted on my
website was made some time ago, I am in the over 40 age bracket and can
relate to the articles.
Of all the articles presented, I would highly encourage all to read at
least #1 -
By the way, I have been advised recently that my articles are too long for
some of our readers - mostly the men who are referred to as the "glance
and run" readers. Do they do everything that quickly? Well, to accommodate
those readers with a short attention span, I'll briefly list the great
points made in this article praising the older woman:
An older woman doesn't
care what a man thinks.
An older woman knows who
she is, what she is, what she wants, and from whom. Not wishy-washy at
all.
Although a wrinkle or two,
an older woman is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
An older woman's libido's
stronger.
Her fear of pregnancy is
gone.
Her appreciation of
experienced lovemaking is honed and reciprocal.
She knows how to please a
man in ways her younger counterpart could never dream of.
An older woman is
forthright and honest. You'll be told quickly if you are a jerk or
acting like one. A young woman will say nothing, caring what you might
think of her. An older woman doesn't give a damn.
Older women are dignified.
No screaming matches in the middle of restaurants.
Most older women are good
cooks, care about cleanliness, generous with praise, deserved or not.
An older woman has the
self-assurance to introduce you to her women friends, not because she
doesn't trust you with other woman (unlike the younger woman) -- she
couldn't care less.
Women get psychic as they
age. You never have to confess your sins to an older woman. They always
just know.
I find this very accurate
with myself and my friends within this age bracket. However, it's
disappointing to see us overlooked. My readers have written in to point
out that at a particular singles group, the recruiting seems to be more
for the younger (30'ish) age group adding even more competition for those
ladies over 40. I observed at their recent dances that the older ladies
aren't asked to dance nearly as often as the younger ladies. It's obvious
how the guys are going to react when even younger women are introduced
into the group. How long can they hold their stomachs in before passing
out? And we'll come to the rescue? Fat chance.
When is a rose more beautiful - as a bud or in full bloom? Isn't vintage
wine best? Classic paintings - classical music. Aged beef? Oh well, you
get the point.
Guys, don't overlook true beauty. You might miss something really special.
Lovingly,
"Sophie"

Dear Sophie,
You got it right again!
But sorry, this is the way it's
always been (since Abe slew the goat) and probably always will be:
Older men are genetically driven
to younger women because they are more fertile procreators of our
species and longer-term keepers of our cave and families!
Street Doctor fortunately has a
"genetic grip' on himself, helped considerably by being well past his
procreabilty years and enjoying the contentment with and control of his
"maid service".
